Interior layout

More possibilities within the same space.

A new room, a workspace or a division between different uses. We define a partition by considering what happens on both sides of the wall.

The layout starts with its use

We review the position, height, door openings and connection to existing elements. Tell us whether the space will be a bedroom, office, storage area or passage: different uses bring different needs.

Plan what will be fixed to the wall

Wall-mounted furniture, televisions and other items need fixings suited to the system. Describe anticipated loads before the partition is closed so reinforcement can be considered at the right stage.

  • Approximate dimensions and intended layout.
  • Doors, openings and junctions with other walls.
  • Services passing through the partition.
  • Items that will be fixed afterwards.

A scope you can understand

The quote should distinguish the partition construction, openings, reinforcement and finishing. Paint, doors and changes to services are included only when they appear in the proposal.

If a layout change also involves removing an existing wall, its function needs reviewing before that removal is defined. Building a new partition and altering an existing element are separate parts of the scope.
