Standard board: a starting point for many interiors

Standard plasterboard can suit many interior layouts and linings. Choosing it involves understanding how the room will be used and how the complete construction works, beyond the board's name or colour.

What a type A board means

The A designation identifies plasterboard for standard applications. PLADUR N is a commercial example of this family. Pladur is a registered trademark commonly used in Spain to refer to plasterboard work; the actual solution is defined by the selected manufacturer's products and instructions. The specification should identify what will be installed.

Where it may be appropriate

We can assess distribution partitions, wall linings and interior ceilings in dry rooms. Explain whether you want to reorganise a home, conceal services or prepare a surface for decoration. A bedroom and a busy corridor may need different decisions despite a similar finished appearance. The room's intended use helps us compare the options before selecting a composition.

A wall includes more than the board

Thickness, the number of layers, framing, junctions and joint treatment all belong in the definition of the work. Openings, access panels and services must also be planned. Asking only for standard board leaves decisions unresolved that affect the space required and the installation. A useful quotation describes the proposed composition and the details included in its scope.

When another family needs consideration

Moisture exposure, fire protection requirements, frequent impacts or a specific acoustic objective may require a different board and system. Standard interior wall board is not offered as a general solution for façades or floors. Colour alone is not a reliable specification: the product data sheet and the intended application must guide the choice for each part of the project.

What we need to assess your project

Provide approximate dimensions, the condition of the existing support, the height and the finish you want. Add general photographs and mark doors, sockets, lights and items you intend to hang. This helps us assess feasibility and identify checks still needed. The proposal will define the layers and necessary details; painting and other finishing work should be expressly included or delimited.

  • The room's use and the result you want.
  • Dimensions, photographs and existing obstacles.
  • Decorative finish and planned attached items.
