Choose the type of opening you need
An open doorway, hinged door and sliding solution need different provisions. Before preparing the partition, it is necessary to know the intended model, how it will open and how the passage will be used. Integration is assessed using that information; we do not assume that any door can be fitted later into a generic opening.
Coordinate dimensions and finished levels
The opening size relates to the frame, the clearances specified by the manufacturer and the final floor level. Opening space and its relationship with furniture, walls and circulation routes are also checked. Initial measurements help prepare the enquiry, but the geometry must be verified before the assembly and finish are completed.
Plan the supports and reinforcement
The weight of the door leaf, daily use and forces at the fixing points can affect the structure of the opening. The design should resolve studs, the head of the opening and supports according to the system and intended model. Plasterboard is not assigned a universal capacity; the necessary reinforcement is assessed before the wall is closed.
Reserve space for mechanisms and services
An integrated sliding solution needs a configuration compatible with its cassette and nearby services. Switches, sockets or internal service routes may interfere with the space reserved for the door leaf. These points are coordinated before the partition is built, retaining the system conditions and avoiding alterations to door components outside the relevant instructions.
Distinguish integration, supply and finishing
Building an opening does not necessarily mean supplying the door, fitting hardware or carrying out final painting. These tasks should be identified in the proposal. Where special use or fire protection requirements apply, the door and its junctions form part of a solution requiring review; they cannot be replaced by a purely aesthetic choice.
Provide the door model and its setting
The enquiry can begin with a photograph of the area and approximate dimensions of the desired opening. If you have already selected a door, provide its data sheet or reference. We review feasibility and outstanding checks before defining a proposal, including who supplies and installs each component and how the finished junction will be resolved.
- Door type and model, if already selected.
- Opening direction and approximate measurements.
- Floor level and nearby building services.
- Supply, installation and finishes to coordinate.
